Born wanted to see what it was like. At our history museum we have a huge 75" projector where you are able to watch one of Chaplin's moApril 16th 1888 Charlie Chaplin was an actor ,filmmaker and composer who was famous during the silent movie era. He first became famous for the short film " the Tramp". He also appeared in other films such as " A women in Paris" " the circus" and " the Gold Rush" which is the video clip above. `Chaplin died on December 25th 1977. Charlie Chaplin and silent movies had a huge impact socially because now people could actually see a moving picture and it brought in a lot of people because everyone wanted to see what it was like. At our history museum you can see a Charlie Chaplin movie on a 72" projector.
A popular child's toy in the 80's was the pet rock. They were sold as of they were "real pets". The pet rock was invented by Gary Dahl while he was listening to his friends complain about there annoying pets and thought about the idea for a pet rock. Gary Dahl sold 1.5 million pet rocks for $4. They were so popular because they were like real pets but they didn't have to be taken care of and they never died. At our gift shop you can even purchase a pet rock of your own.
A popular child's show in the 1970's was Scooby-doo. Scooby doo was a television show about 4 teenagers named Velma ,Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and there dog Scooby-doo, in the show they solve supernatural based crimes. The original show " Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!," was broadcast from 1969-1986, then a spinoff of the show aired called " A pup named Scooby-Doo" which aired from 1888- 1991. New Scooby Doo series then aired from 2002-2008. Following "Scooby-Doo! Mystery incorporated" from 2010-2013 then " Be cool, Scooby-Doo"
